Our values and principles

We have an active interest in low carbon solutions, cultural change and organisational development, particularly when linked to community development, engagement and involvement.

We are committed to social and environmental sustainability, as an organisation we:

• Monitor our energy usage, heat our offices from a mix of solar thermal and wood, and use of low energy appliances and fittings where possible

• Heat our offices from a mix of solar thermal and wood

• Use locally produced goods

• Use locally produced food (along with Fairtrade tea and coffee)

• Use sustainable materials in the refurbishment of our offices

• Recycle our waste

• Walk or use public transport whenever possible

• Use co-operative and other ethically and environmentally principled organisations for our banking, insurance, internet, phone and supplementary energy supplies
